"I came in knowing almost nothing about what I was entitled to — only that I felt something hadn't been handled correctly when I retired. The meeting gave me a clear picture for the first time. The summary I received afterwards was something I kept referring back to. I did not feel rushed at any point."

"The claim preparation took about three weeks. Throughout that time someone from the team was in contact regularly — I didn't have to wonder what was happening. When the submission went in, I had already read through the documents and understood what had been written and why. That mattered to me."

"I had been trying to work through a pension objection myself for several months and kept hitting walls. The full representation service took that weight off entirely. I was briefed after each development, and when the matter concluded, I actually understood what had happened — not just that it was over."

"My situation involved records from two different employers, which I thought might make things complicated. It turned out to be manageable once someone was guiding the process. The team at Sutthi seemed accustomed to untangling this kind of history."

"I came for a rights meeting thinking it would be a general overview. It turned out to be very specific to my situation. By the end of the session I had a clear sense of what my options were and what each would involve. I appreciated that there was no push to go further than I needed to at that stage."

"The fixed fee was something I found reassuring before I even walked in. Legal costs can become uncertain quickly, and knowing the amount in advance helped me make a decision. The process itself was straightforward. I would return if I needed help with anything similar in future."

How three situations were worked through
These summaries reflect the kinds of matters we handle. Details have been adjusted to preserve privacy.
The challenge
Contributions not reflected in pension record
A client nearing retirement discovered that several years of Social Security contributions from a previous employer appeared to be missing from their official record. They were uncertain whether to raise a formal objection or whether anything could be done.
The approach
Rights meeting, then claim preparation
We started with a rights clarification meeting to establish the legal position and confirm the contributions were indeed traceable. A formal claim was then prepared, collating employment records and Social Security documentation to support the objection.
The outcome
Record corrected within six weeks
The Social Security Office accepted the submission and corrected the contribution record. The client's pension calculation was revised accordingly. Total time from first meeting to confirmation: approximately six weeks.
"I had no idea this was something that could be fixed. The process was more straightforward than I expected."
The challenge
Occupational pension dispute after redundancy
A client who had been made redundant received a pension settlement offer that they believed undervalued their entitlement based on years of service. The employer's position was that the amount was correct under the scheme rules.
The approach
Full representation
We reviewed the scheme documentation and the calculation used by the employer, identified a discrepancy in how service years were counted under the terms, and pursued the matter formally through the appropriate authority. The client was briefed at each stage.
The outcome
Revised settlement agreed
The employer revised their calculation and the settlement was increased. The process took approximately three months. The client understood the basis of the increase before accepting the revised figure.
"Having someone handle the formal side while explaining everything to me at each point made what felt like a very difficult situation manageable."
The challenge
Family managing pension claim for an elderly relative
An adult child contacted the practice on behalf of an elderly parent who was uncertain about their pension entitlements and felt unable to navigate the process alone. The family wanted someone to explain the situation clearly and manage any formal steps.
The approach
Rights meeting with family present, then support as needed
We held the initial meeting with both the client and their family member present so that both understood the position. After the meeting, the client decided to proceed with a formal claim. We managed the paperwork and submission and kept both the client and the family member informed.
The outcome
Claim processed, entitlements confirmed
The claim was accepted. The family valued the fact that everything was explained at each step and that they could contact us when questions arose, without feeling they were being a burden.
"My mother left the meeting looking less worried than she had in months. That was worth the visit alone."
